Natclovir Capsule is an antiviral medicine used to treat viral infections caused by cytomegalovirus in immunocompromised people who have undergone an organ or bone marrow transplantation. It also reduces the risk of blindness in a serious eye infection caused by CMV, known as CMV retinitis.
Cytomegalovirus infection is a common virus infection which may have no symptoms at all or may have symptoms like fever and fatigue. Severe infection may show symptoms involving the eyes, brain, or other internal organs.
This virus is spread through sexual and nonsexual contact with body secretions in people who are immunocompromised or those who have undergone any transplant. Natclovir Capsule helps to prevent multiplication of the infection causing virus and treats the infection.
